NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 1 – Standard Chartered Bank today introduced a new platform that seeks to support women-led enterprises.
Dubbed ‘SC Women International Network (SC-WIN)’, the project is in partnership with Safaricom, Mastercard, and KEPSA.
SC-WIN seeks to uplift their businesses by offering an end-to-end financial platform with borrowing, saving, investment, and insurance options.
“We are committed and intentional about supporting women entrepreneurs succeed. Our progress in this space is reflected in the statistics where we focus on diversity and inclusion in our supplier base,” said Kariuki Ngari, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank.
SC-WIN includes capital, investment, and protection solutions. They include trade solutions, targeted insurance coverage, and foreign currency mutual fund investment options, among others.
“SC WIN entrepreneurs will have access to free bespoke training packages and mentorship, dedicated relationship managers and access to the Bank’s global banking network across Asia, Middle East and Africa,” the Bank said.
“As a value add, the proposition includes networking opportunities and access to the global market.”
