NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 2 – Former TV Queen Esther Arunga’s husband, Quincy Timberlake, has been charged with murder by an Australian court after the death of their three-year-old son in June this year.

According to Australia’s Courier Mail, Quincy Timberlake was arrested on Tuesday morning from his home in Kallangur, in Brisbane, Australia.

His arrest comes after primary investigations by police showed that there were ‘significant’ internal injuries.

The family earlier said the boy was playing when he fell and rolled down the staircase in their home.

Arunga was quoted saying she gave the boy painkillers but when he went to sleep he got worse and that is when they called an ambulance.

Efforts to resuscitate the young boy proved futile.

Their son died on June 18.

According to the Courier Mail, Timberlake and Arunga fled to Australia to seek for asylum over what they termed as threats to their lives in Kenya.

The two who founded the Placenta Party were involved in a series of controversies with allegations that they belonged to a cult.

Their asylum was granted after complaints that they had been tortured by police while in custody over charges that were later dropped.

“Upon arriving in Australia Timberlake said he joined the Liberal National Party but later aligned himself with the ALP, posting photos at polling booths and with former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd,” the Courier Mail stated.
