Tandem Network dominates at 2025 Digital Media Awards

NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 12 – Go Gaga Experiential hosted the 9th Digital Media Festival & Awards Show on Thursday, bringing together agencies, creators, and industry leaders to celebrate standout work in Kenya’s digital sector.

The event, held at The Tamarind Hotel Grounds on Langata Road, honoured innovative campaigns across Agency, Content, Publisher, Digital, Youth, and Special Categories.

Top Honors

Tandem Network led the night, winning Agency of the Year and four other awards. Its “Sky Fest” campaign, aimed at empowering women and girls, was named Most Impactful Campaign of the Year. The agency also bagged awards for Media Innovation, Experiential Campaign, and Best Youth-Driven Campaign.

Individual recognitions for Tandem included:

  • Creative Director of the Year – Bharat Tavares
  • Copywriter of the Year – Robert Kizito
  • Art Director of the Year – Kelvin Kaesa
  • Graphic Designer of the Year – Denis Kajura
  • Marketing Leader of the Year – Colin Asiimwe
  • Strategist of the Year – Dorothy Kirabo

GOtv was named Brand of the Year for its strong digital presence.

Dentsu Creative Kenya won Campaign of the Year for Tusker Lager’s “Stitched With Cheer,” while The Bar Africa was recognized for Brand Identity Systems and Design for Workables’ Typespace. Nuvita Biscuits also earned recognition for its “Nuvita Presents NoVita” influencer-led campaign.

Youth Awards and Emerging Talent

The Youth-Young Creative Awards spotlighted rising talent, with winners including:

  • Best Young Copywriter – Michael Muraya
  • Best Young Content Creator – Allan Kioko
  • Best Independent Young Creative – Neemo Mungai
  • Best Young Innovator – Faith Mwangi
  • Best Young Art Director – Gichimu Ikuá

In the Eskimi Awards category, Diageo won the Creative Excellence Award, Uber Eats was recognised for Best Engagement Campaign, and KCB Group won Best Performing Traffic Campaign.

Samsung Electronics’ Digital Marketing Manager, Corporate Marketing Group, Levis Ryan, said the awards continue to showcase the growth of Kenya’s digital talent.

Go Gaga Experiential Co-Founder Muthoni Gitobu said the submissions demonstrated the expanding creativity and innovation within Kenya’s digital industry.

The festival highlighted the sector’s growing influence in communication, culture, and public engagement as digital platforms increasingly drive storytelling and brand interaction in Kenya.
