Nairobi, Kenya, Dec 11– The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has confirmed KK Mutahi as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2025. Mutahi has been serving in an acting capacity for the past six months.
With more than 20 years of experience in corporate management across the energy and retail sectors, Mutahi brings a strong record of leadership in trade facilitation, investment advocacy, strategic partnerships, and organizational transformation.
He previously held various senior roles at Kenolkobil (now Rubis), rising to the position of Country Retail Manager.
Mutahi has also played a pivotal role within KNCCI structures. He served as Chairman of the Chamber Presidential Delivery Unit & County Empowerment, where he coordinated the rollout of flagship programs and monitored key development priorities across all 47 county chambers.
His past leadership roles include Vice Chairman of the KNCCI Meru County Chapter and County Chapter Manager for KNCCI Nairobi Chapter (2014–2017 and 2019–2021).
In his new role as CEO, Mutahi will lead the Chamber’s process re-engineering efforts and strengthen its advocacy initiatives to better serve the Kenyan business community.
