Russia’s September growth hits 0.9pc: economic ministry

MOSCOW, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) — Russia’s GDP grew by 0.9 percent year-on-year in September 2025, following August’s 0.4 percent expansion, the Ministry of Economic Development said in a Wednesday report.

According to the ministry, Russia’s GDP rose by 0.6 percent in the third quarter of 2025. It also estimates that GDP growth reached 1 percent in the first nine months of 2025.

In September, the ministry lowered its 2025 GDP growth forecast to 1 percent from the 2.5 percent projected in April. It also cut the 2026 forecast to 1.3 percent from 2.4 percent
