Safaricom Sacco rebrands to Qona Sacco

NAIROBI,Kenya,Nov 28– Safaricom Sacco has rebranded to Qona Sacco in what it says marks a pivotal moment in its 23-year history. 

The sacco says the rebrand showcased a refreshed identity that reflects the Sacco’s growth, innovation, and continued commitment to its members.

Founded in 2001 as a savings initiative for a small group of Safaricom employees, Safaricom Sacco has evolved into one of Kenya’s financial cooperatives, with more than 18,000 members and assets exceeding Sh11.5 billion.

Its rebranding to Qona Sacco signals the next phase of its evolution as a financial institution dedicated to empowering its members and creating long-lasting value for communities across Kenya.

According to the leadership, Qona Sacco is committed to being a partner to individuals and businesses at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

“Qona Sacco represents who we are today—a modern, forward-thinking financial partner,” said its chairman George Hunja.
