CFAO’s Toyota, Mercedes-Benz win top African awards

SEP 4 – Motor dealer CFAO Motors Kenya’s Toyota and Mercedes-Benz received top honors in the latest Brand Africa 100 ranking.

The report, sponsored by Capital Club and Brand Africa in partnership with Gina Din Group, named Toyota as the most admired brand in Kenya, followed by Honda and Mercedes-Benz.

Toyota has built a strong reputation for durability, low maintenance costs, and readily available parts, making it a preferred choice for many vehicle owners.

This achievement follows CFAO Motors Kenya’s merger with DT Dobie last year, which aimed to expand their market share.

The merger, effective April 1, 2023, transferred DT Dobie’s assets to CFAO Motors Kenya and enhanced their local assembly capabilities.

CFAO Motors now boasts the largest dealer network in Kenya, with 36 locations and a nearly 30% market share, according to the Kenya Motor Vehicle Industry Association (KMIA).
