Numeral IOT debuts TransitTag, a real-time monitoring system for school children

NAIROBI, Kenya Jul 23 – Numeral IOT, an IT provider company, has unveiled TransitTag, a real-time monitoring system for children’s bus commutes.

The TransitTag, powered by the Numeral Infinity Engine, a Kenyan-made communication module for IoT devices, will include wearable wrist tags that will allow children to check in and out of the bus, giving parents and guardians’s real-time updates on their whereabouts.

Morris Mbetsa, Chief Executive Officer, Numeral IOT, affirmed that the real-time monitoring system for children’s bus commutes will have a Live Camera Feed providing live video feeds from the bus to parents and the school, as well as an AI-Driven Analysis to monitor the driver’s alertness and child behavior using AI technology to enhance the safety of children.

“Numeral IOT is taking the stage to showcase several innovative projects the company has been tackling over the past months. TransitTag includes  a Wearable Wrist Tags, Live Camera Feed, AI-Driven Analysis,and Real time tracking .This solution enables both schools and parents to monitor the exact location of their children during school commutes,” said Mbetsa CEO Numeral IOT.

The innovation also seeks to facilitate quick responses to concerns or emergencies through direct communication with the school transportation team, ensuring transparent and efficient communication.

“TransitTAG prioritizes student safety with live tracking and video surveillance capabilities. Parents will receive instant notifications and live tracking information, including bus details, departure times, and a live tracking link,” he added.

The firm, which is now taking part in new innovations in the tech world, first launched the Numeral Infinity Engine, which allows seamless communication among IoT devices and central systems with support for multiple wireless protocols to suit various environments.

The engine designed to minimize power consumption gathers data from sensors and IoT devices and securely transmits it to cloud servers or local gateways for processing and analysis.
