NAIROBI, Kenya, July 14 – The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has cut super petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices per liter by Sh1, Sh1.5, and Sh1.3, respectively.
Starting midnight, a liter of petrol will retail at Sh188.4 in Nairobi from Sh189.4 currently.
While a liter of diesel will now cost Sh171.6, a similar amount of kerosene will also fall to Sh161.75.
EPRA’s latest review follows a drop in the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol by 4.65 percent to $716.03 per cubic metre in June.
A cubic metre of diesel also fell by 1.19 percent to $682.73, with kerosene by 2.01 percent to $692.8.
The drop also came at a time when the exchange rate for buying fuel dropped to Sh129.06 per one dollar in June from Sh132.72 in May.
