KNCCI eyes business opportunities with trade mission to Zambia

NAIROBI, Kenya, June 22 – The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) will take delegates to Zambia on a trade mission.

KNCCI Chair Ronald Meru says hundreds of delegates will participate, with the event slated for July 28.

The agency will use the event to court business opportunities for Kenyan firms.

Meru was speaking during the signing of the MoU with delegations from FINSCO Consulting, GO Greenwood Bank LLC., the Ministry of Trade Investments and Industry, the State Department of Industry, and the State Department of Trade. The collaboration aims to address the shortage of 150,000 housing units in Kenya.

KNCCI also urged private sector players to leverage over 250 MoUs signed with local and international partners, confident that such engagements will help the sector thrive.

This comes after the government concluded a trade mission to the USA recently, which facilitated the MoU signing within 30 days.

FINSCO Africa’s CEO, John Mwaura, highlighted the challenge of business growth and noted that their KNCCI membership has facilitated strategic networking, leading to the partnership with Go Greenwood Bank LLC from Atlanta, Georgia.
