Boris Manev joins Epson as new Corporate Sustainability Director

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 26 – Boris Manev has been picked by Epson, a stationery manufacturer, to be the new Director of Corporate Sustainability.

Manev joined Epson in 2011 as an environmental specialist before being promoted to Head of Sustainability and Government Affairs for Epson Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia (EMEAR).

The new director intends to scale up the organization’s sustainability and de-carbonization program, aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

“We have a wonderful, dedicated, passionate and highly qualified sustainability team at Epson and I look forward to harnessing our combined skills as we work together to deliver more sustainable technology that improves the quality of lives in the communities and societies we serve across Europe,” Manev said.

“I am especially keen to demonstrate how profit and sustainability can be mutually inclusive and short-term economics can be aligned to support longer term sustainability goals through integration of sustainability in corporate business models and programmes.”

Manev holds a degree in International Economics and International Communications from the American University of Paris and a MSC in Environment and Resource Management from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
