Uber, AutoXpress in vehicle servicing, inspection deal

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 26 – Uber has partnered with AutoXpress, a global distributor company of auto parts and accessories in East Africa, to help drivers save on operating costs.

The collaboration will, however, target UberX, UberXL, and Uber ChapChap operators.

In the deal, they will get free vehicle inspections, spare parts servicing, and purchases at discounted prices across the country.

Uber states that it is monitoring various macroeconomic dynamics to ensure that the company is able to continue providing a platform where drivers can earn sustainably and riders are able to access a safe and reliable mobility option.

At least 90 percent of all drivers on the Uber platform have benefited from the partnership, which has been in place since Uber was launched in the market.

The company is also looking forward to helping Boda drivers increase their earning potential, including running periodic promotions and incentives.
