Shiprazor seeks to streamline Kenya’s online, offline delivery services

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 10 – Even though the Covid-19 pandemic drove up demand for online deliveries, their adoption had already gained some traction a few years ago.

The penetration of smartphones and an improvement in last-mile deliveries also helped grow Kenya’s delivery sector.

To tap into the ever-growing market, an endless list of local and international firms set up their bases in Kenya to offer the above-mentioned services.

Some of the companies included Bolt, Uber, Little App, Standard Courier, and DHL, among others.

However, there was one massive problem, and that was that the supply chain was so disintegrated.

For example, if a customer wanted to order something virtually, he or she would have to visit each individual delivery company’s website to access services, impeding comparison of services with other competitors.

It is for the above reason that Shiprazor comes in to fix the missing link.

The delivery firm, which is headquartered in America with operations in Kenya, Mauritius, and South Africa, streamlines online and offline delivery services for Kenyan firms.

“Shiprazor is more like an open market where courier services that do last mile deliveries and clients or businesses can log onto and choose their preferred delivery partner,” the firm said in a statement.

“It lists courier services based on fees, reliability, location etc, therefore, clients or business people can choose what best suits them when they want to deliver…. So shiprazor as a platform, links the business to the courier services,” it added.

Shiprazor partners with firms such as Ilara Health, Aspira, and Yourbasket in the country.

Today, it also signed a partnership with Standard Courier, which is part of the Standard Media Group, to expand its delivery coverage nationwide.

“Imagine having the power to choose the perfect delivery option for your business – that’s what Shiprazor does,” the statement continued.

“Whether you sell things online or in your store, Shiprazor helps you manage deliveries in a better way.”
