LG Electronics appoint new East Africa MD to drive growth

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 7 – LG Electronics has appointed Dong Won Lee as its new East Africa Regional Managing Director (MD) to drive growth.

Lee replaces sa nyoung kim who has been occupying the position for the last three-years.

Prior, Lee served as Iraq’s LG MD, a role he assumed in 2019. He is credited for driving up sales by 50 percent.

 “East Africa has a high economic growth potential, my promise is to ensure that LG keeps on supplying customer value until customer satisfaction is achieved…..I look forward to working closely with all teams to drive success for the people and LG, ” lee said.

Lee boosts over 20 years’ experience and knowledge in leadership, performance improvement, sales and marketing in the consumer electronics industry.

Besides working closely with regional leadership to develop and implement strategies, Lee will also lead LG East Africa’s operations.

His key focus in the region will be to pursue sustainable growth by strengthening the lineup of not only LG’s differentiated premium products but also mid-entry models for volume zones in East Africa including Kenya.
