NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 19 – HF Group plc has appointed Britam acting group Managing Director Charles Kimani Njuguna as its Nonexecutive director effective January 14.
Njuguna has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector having worked as a Chief Executive Officer with ABN Amro Bank, GT Bank, Old Mutual, and Family Bank.
Njuguna has also served as the Managing Director at Faulu Micro Finance Bank.
He holds an MBA, a Masters’s in Finance from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from United States International University- Africa.
His appointment takes effect the same day he assumed his role as the managing director at Britam Holdings.
Njuguna takes over as Britam MD in an acting capacity from Tavaziva Madzinga, the outgoing Group MD whose resignation was accepted by the Board.
Njuguna joined Britam in March 2021 as the Finance Director.
He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
