VIDEO: Find out what happens when you send email

We send and receive email messages everyday, but most of us don’t know how the email message travels from our compose box to the recipients inbox in a matter of seconds, irrespective of distance.

Now Google has tried to breakdown the process of email through a new site they call ‘Story of Send’.

“The new site gives a behind-the-scenes look into how all the virtual information makes its journey through the real world – from your internet service provider to our data centers and beyond,” said Erin Reilly, Google Green team.

“Along the way, you’ll discover everything from where we filter for spam and scan for viruses to how we’re minimizing our impact on the environment through energy efficiency and renewable power.”
