Laos, India promote business cooperation

VIENTIANE, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) — Lao-India Business Forum has been held in Lao capital Vientiane to promote business and investment cooperation between Laos and India.

The forum aims to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, Lao News Agency quoted Lao Minister of Industry and Commerce Malaythong Kommasith as saying at the forum held on Monday.

The governments of Laos and India have agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas of strong potential, not only in trade and investment, but also in education, health, culture, agriculture and forestry, defense, and infrastructure.

The forum was attended by Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Thanongsinh Kanlaya, Indian Ambassador to Laos Prashant Agrawal, and representatives of both sides.
