Financial Reporting Centre Opens Recruitment for New CEO

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 5 – Kenya’s Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) has begun the search for a new Director-General and Chief Executive Officer to head the country’s top agency for combating financial crime.

The vacancy was announced by the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board (AMLAB), which is overseeing the recruitment.

The incoming CEO will serve a non-renewable six-year term.

“The Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board is seeking to recruit a dynamic, exceptional, and visionary leader with good professional and ethical standing,” the agency said in a statement.

Established in 2009 under the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA), the FRC is mandated to detect and deter money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

The new Director-General will be responsible for steering the agency’s efforts to safeguard Kenya’s financial system.

Applications are open until Monday, August 25, 2025.
