Plane veers off runway at Wilson Airport, no injuries

The Kenya Airports Authority confirmed the incident but said no injuries were reported, with all passengers and crew safely evacuated.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 20 – An aircraft carrying 39 passengers veered off the runway while landing at Wilson Airport from Kisumu on Friday evening.

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) confirmed the incident but said no injuries were reported, with all passengers and crew safely evacuated.

“The aircraft remains on site, and recovery efforts are currently underway,” KAA said in a statement.

Despite the incident, KAA noted that operations at the airport continued without disruption.

“The Kenya Airports Authority remains fully committed to the highest standards of safety at all our airports,” it added.
