NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 17 – Safaricom Business has awarded the first 25 enterprise customers under its ongoing Shangwe @25 promotion, targeting micro, small, and large enterprises across the country.
Under the promotion, 10 micro and small enterprises received tricycle Bajaj vehicles, nine won business restock worth Sh250,000 each, while six large enterprises were awarded Sh500,000 each to support corporate social responsibility projects of their choice.
Safaricom said the initiative is aimed at rewarding enterprise customers while supporting business growth and community impact as the company marks its 25th anniversary.
Speaking during the announcement, Safaricom Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer Frankline Okata said the promotion recognises the role of enterprise customers in the company’s growth and reaffirms its commitment to supporting businesses across different segments.
The winning enterprises span agribusiness, education, logistics, retail, and technology sectors, reflecting the diversity of Safaricom’s enterprise customer base.
Some of the beneficiaries said Safaricom Business solutions have helped improve operational efficiency, enhance customer engagement, and reduce costs, particularly through services such as bulk messaging, mobile payments, and connectivity solutions.
The Shangwe @25 promotion runs for eight weeks until January 19, 2026. Enterprises qualify by purchasing, renewing, or reactivating Safaricom Business services, including voice, internet, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, and M-PESA for Business. Winners are selected weekly throughout the promotion period.
