NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 25 – Urysia Limited has expanded its automotive portfolio in Kenya with the addition of Jeep and Citroën, marking its transition from a single-brand Peugeot dealer to a full multi-brand operation.
The company said the expanded showroom will now host models from Peugeot, Jeep and Citroën, alongside after-sales support and genuine spare parts for all three brands.
The shift aligns Urysia with Stellantis — the global automotive group formed through the merger of PSA Groupe and FCA — and broadens the firm’s capacity to supply both passenger and commercial vehicles to the Kenyan market.
Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam, who presided over the launch, said Urysia’s expansion reflects growing demand for diverse mobility options.
“Kenya’s automotive industry is evolving, and the dealers who succeed will be those who respond to today’s consumer needs — choice, reliability and service excellence,” she said.
Under the new setup, Jeep will target the adventure and lifestyle 4×4 market, Citroën will offer efficiency-led urban mobility models, and Peugeot will retain its established SUV and sedan range.
Urysia Managing Director Claude Mwende said the multi-brand direction is driven by changing customer expectations.
“Customers want convenience, reliability and choice. Bringing Peugeot, Jeep and Citroën under one roof allows us to serve a wider spectrum — from lifestyle users to families, SMEs, fleet operators and ride-hailing drivers,” he said.
He added that the firm will offer financing options through banks, leasing packages for corporates and NGOs, and expanded fleet support services. Urysia has also strengthened its after-sales network with service centres, partner workshops and mobile service units.
The expansion also positions the company to support Kenya’s gradual shift toward electrification through Peugeot’s EV-ready platforms and Stellantis’ global technology pipeline.
Models now available at the showroom include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Gladiator; Citroën C3, C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross; and Peugeot’s full lineup.
The launch was attended by officials from the US and French embassies, industry stakeholders, financial partners and corporate fleet buyers.
Urysia said the multi-brand strategy marks the start of a long-term growth phase focused on market diversification and improved customer experience.
