CFAO introduces an upgraded 2.8L engine for Toyota Land Cruiser

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 9 – CFAO Mobility Kenya has introduced an upgraded engine for the Toyota Land Cruiser (LC79) as it looks to offer buyers improved performance and reliability.

The 2.8L GDJ engine also offers enhanced safety measures, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Active Traction Control (ATRC), and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), as well as lower emissions.

The LC79, which is part of Toyota’s commercial vehicle lineup, is popular in the agricultural, mining, and humanitarian sectors.

It features up to 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, which provides better towing power, off-road capability, and general performance.

“This engine launch is a response to what the market has asked for: more power, greater efficiency, and lower emissions, all without compromising on the Land Cruiser 79’s renowned durability,” CFAO Mobility Kenya National Sales General Manager Daniel Maundu said.

“The GDJ upgrade strengthens the vehicle’s position in the utility segment and ensures it remains a trusted partner in the field,” he added.

Buyers will also enjoy after-sales services of parts.
