NAIROBI, Kenya, April 30 – Alliad Kenya, a leading supply and logistics firm, has entered into a strategic partnership with environmental non-profit Nature Kenya to advance biodiversity protection and community-driven climate resilience across the country.
The collaboration will focus on restoring Kenya’s Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs)—ecologically vital regions that include forests, wetlands, and grasslands—through tree planting, habitat restoration, and environmental education.
“This partnership is a natural extension of our mission to create sustainable, positive impact in the communities where we operate,” said Stephen Wanyama, CEO of Alliad Kenya.
“By protecting biodiversity and empowering communities, we’re not just planting trees—we’re nurturing a legacy of resilience for generations to come.”
As part of the partnership, Alliad Kenya will support eco-community centres run by Nature Kenya, helping local residents adopt conservation practices, learn climate adaptation strategies, and develop sustainable livelihoods.
The partnership was officially launched with a joint tree-planting event on Earth Day, April 22, bringing together Alliad Kenya employees, Nature Kenya staff, community leaders, and conservation experts.
Since 2024, Alliad Kenya has planted more than 1,250 trees, with support from 25 employee volunteers across its business units, reflecting the company’s growing commitment to embed sustainability into its corporate culture.
Progress from the initiative will be highlighted in the upcoming second edition of Alliad Kenya’s sustainability report and through Nature Kenya’s outreach channels.
This partnership is being hailed as a model for how private sector collaboration can accelerate climate action, ecosystem restoration, and inclusive community development in Kenya.
