NAIROBI, Kenya March 28 – Absa Kenya Foundation has committed KES 3 million to support vulnerable communities during the Holy Month of Ramadhan, reinforcing its commitment to social impact.
In collaboration with Muslim community associations and local mosques, the nationwide initiative will benefit over 800 households, impacting more than 2,400 people across Nairobi, Garissa, Kisumu, Isiolo, Bungoma, Eldoret, Murang’a, Kajiado, Oyugis, and Nkurumah.
Speaking during a donation event in Kibra, Absa Bank Kenya’s Chief Finance Officer, Yusuf Omari, reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to making a lasting difference beyond Ramadhan.
“We are honoured to share in the spirit of Ramadhan, which emphasises generosity and compassion. Just as we prioritise inclusivity in our banking solutions, we also believe in uplifting those in need so they can break their fast with dignity,” said Omari.

“We appreciate Absa Kenya Foundation for standing with the vulnerable during this sacred period. The donated food will go a long way in alleviating suffering among those in need,” said Sheikh Omar.
