Lee, who brings over two decades of experience with LG, replaces Dongwon Lee, who led the region since January 2023.
In his new role, Donghun Lee will drive the company’s growth strategy in East Africa, including the introduction of innovative products tailored to the diverse needs of the market.
“This is a dynamic market with immense potential, and I am committed to strengthening our presence through product innovation, customer-focused strategies, and a continued commitment to sustainability,” Lee said.

He will work closely with local teams, retailers, and strategic partners to ensure LG’s products and services meet the specific demands of consumers in these regions.
Previously, Lee served as the Overseas Kitchen Division Leader at LG Headquarters in South Korea.
His extensive career at LG also includes leadership roles as Branch President in Guatemala, Home Appliances Product Manager in Mexico, and Home Appliances Product Leader in Chile.
His appointment comes as LG seeks to expand its footprint in Africa—a region experiencing rapid technological advancements and a growing demand for high-quality electronics and home appliances.
