NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 14 – Solar power kit provider M-Kopa has appointed Rajeev Suri, a former Nokia CEO, to be the new board chair effective December 1, 2024.
Suri currently serves as the Chairman of Digicel and board director at Singtel.
He will provide critical oversight, strategic insights, and guidance to the M-Kopa leadership team.
M-Kopa hopes Suri’s executive and board-level expertise will help the fintech innovate and expand worldwide.

Suri joins at a time when M-Kopa boasts over 5 million customers and more than $1.5 billion of credit deployed across five markets.
