Absa, Visa Partner To Unveil Kenya’s First Metallic Infinite Card

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 18 – Absa Bank has collaborated with digital payment platform Visa to unveil Kenya’s first-ever metallic Infinite Card.

The partners maintain that the move will redefine the banking experience for affluent customers by offering a blend of functionality.

The Infinite Card, tailored for high-net-worth individuals, provides an array of premium benefits including unlimited access to over 1,200 airport lounges and 900 hotels worldwide, 24-hour concierge services, and comprehensive travel insurance with a tripled coverage limit of $2.5 million (Sh322.5 million).

Cardholders also enjoy enhanced buyer protection, with limits doubled from $10,000 to $20,000 (Sh 2.6 million), and earn 1.5% rewards on local and international purchases.

Speaking at the launch, Absa Bank Kenya Managing Director Abdi Mohamed highlighted the Bank’s commitment to delivering tailored solutions to its diverse clientele.

“As a business, we understand that we cannot afford to have an approach of a one-fits-all. Through our partnership with Visa, the Absa Visa Infinite Card strengthens our affluent portfolio by providing exclusive spending power, enhanced protection, and superior rewards,” said Mohamed.

He added that the metallic card, which boasts a longer lifespan than traditional plastic cards  aligns with Absa’s sustainability goals.

On his part, Chad Pollock, Visa East Africa’s Vice President and General Manager, emphasized Visa’s commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional experiences.
