NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 20 – Low-cost retailer Jaza Discounter Supermarket has opened its 14th store at Greatwall in Athi River in Machakos County.
This comes at a time when the retail chain has been on an aggressive expansion drive to expand outlets in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
“We are not in competition, we are changingthegame.The market is conforming and following our lead,” Willy Kimani, founder and director of Jaza Supermarkets.
Jaza debuted in December 2023 with the inauguration of its flagship store in Buruburu, Nairobi.
Since then, the brand has expanded its presence in Nairobi, establishing 10 additional stores in Gachie, Kayole Mihango, Kayole Soweto, Chokaa, Githurai 44, Imara, Pipeline, Utawala, Langata, and Mombasa Road.
The retailer also offers e-commerce services to customers through a WhatsApp platform.
