NAIROBI, Kenya, August 28 – VFS Global, an outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions, has made progress in promoting gender diversity in its workforce.
VFS, in a report, stated that 53 percent of its new hires in the past year have been women, which added reinforces its ambitions of having a balanced workforce.
Furthermore, the company has stated that in 2023, 29 percent of its senior and middle management comprised of women.
The company, which is headquartered in Zurich, operates over 3,400 application centres in 153 countries and has a global workforce of more than 10,900 employees globally as of 2023.
“The company maintained a diverse and inclusive global workforce comprising 129 nationalities with a balanced gender ratio of 54% women to 46% men,” the report stated.
In Kenya alone, the company has hired 76 women employees who account for half of the total half of the total employees in the Kenyan base.
“I am pleased to say that women share an equal representation in our workforce of 76 employees, including managing our operations in Kenya. In addition to gender diversity, the company has also prioritized professional growth and development of our employees,” said Carold Kotie, Operations Manager for Kenya at VFS Global.
The company has further asserted that it has increased its employee training hours globally by 86% as of last year to boost and nurture its workforce.
