NAIROBI, Kenya Jul 10 – The Transforming African MedTech Conference (TAMC) 2024 has announced plans to further catalyze advancement in MedTech across the continent.
The second annual TAMC Scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from August 28 to 30, 2024 will serve as a premier platform for stakeholders to converge, collaborate, and refine strategies to leverage medical technology for meaningful progress in healthcare.
“The goal of TAMC 2024 is to bring together medical technology stakeholders from across the African continent to discuss opportunities and challenges in the medical device and diagnostics industry,” said Wambui Gachiengo Nyabero, MedTech Advisor and TAMC Organizing Committee Chair.
The conference will be instrumental in shaping the future of African MedTech for healthcare delivery focusing on Knowledge exchange and Capacity building offer training and educational opportunities to empower stakeholders with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the evolving landscape of the MedTech industry.
Further it will foster connections and partnerships among academia, industry leaders, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to inspire innovation and provide a platform for startups, entrepreneurs, and established companies to showcase their products, technologies, and solutions.
“Together we will develop strategies that will accelerate the growth of African medical technology development, manufacturing, and commercialization,” added Nyabero TAMC Organizing Committee Chair.
The Transforming African MedTech Conference was successfully launched in 2023, bringing together 120 MedTech delegates from 14 countries.
The inaugural event underscored a significant demand for collaboration and networking among African professionals in the medical technology sector.
This year’s Conference aims to accelerate progress in the MedTech sector and ultimately contribute to improved healthcare access and outcomes across Africa.
