Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky in distribution deal with Tech First Gulf

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 18 – Dubai-based value-added distributor Tech First Gulf has entered into a deal with global cybersecurity solution provider Kaspersky for distribution of cybersecurity and anti-virus solutions in Africa.

The collaboration, which was formalized in May 2024, will see Tech First Gulf promote Kaspersky’s comprehensive business solutions in the continent.

Akashdeep Singh, Chief Strategy Officer at Tech First Gulf, highlighted the partnership’s potential to enhance business operations in Africa.

“We are thrilled to unveil our strategic distribution partnership with Kaspersky, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions. Together with Kaspersky, we are poised to empower businesses to navigate the evolving threat landscape effectively,” Singh stated.

Samer Malak, Kaspersky’s Head of Channel for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, on his part praised the move, emphasizing its importance in the dynamic cybersecurity environment.

“In the ever-changing world of cybersecurity, strategic distribution partnerships are pivotal in bringing success to partners and robust support to customers,” he said.

“We highly value the commencement of this partnership with Tech First Gulf, and hope together we can make cyberspace in Africa more safe by providing organizations high-end solutions to protect all types of clients’ digital assets from all types of cyber threats.”

Kaspersky plans to leverage Tech First Gulf’s extensive network of over 3,500 partners across the Middle East and Africa to enhance cybersecurity measures and provide robust protection against cyber threats in the region.
