NAIROBI, Kenya, July 2 – The Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to replace Fazul Mohamed, whose term ended.
In a notice, PSRA urged qualified individuals to submit their credentials.
”Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position. Applications should be accompanied by detailed Curriculum Vitae including three (3) referees, mobile telephone contact, copies of National Identity Card, relevant certificates and other testimonials,” read the notice.
Fazul exits after being at the helm of the organization for a period of six years, which translates to three terms.
His reign saw him lock horns with an array of bigwigs, including Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli, over remittances.
Mohamed had alleged that COTU had neglected its responsibility to protect the interests and well-being of security guards, who are members of the union.
In response, Atwoli countered by accusing Mohamed of lacking an understanding of industrial relations practices.
“The Fazul-led body has been the greatest impediment to the enhancement of the rights and welfare of private security guards as COTU (K) has received numerous complaints on the same through our affiliate union, Kenya National Private Security Workers Union,” Atwoli said.
