Packaging firm Shri Krishana eyes NSE listing

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 3 – Shri Krishana Overseas Ltd., a packaging solution provider, has revealed its intention to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) under the small and medium enterprises (SME) segment.

According to Sonvir Singh, the firm’s managing director and founder, the company’s advisors have successfully submitted the company’s application to the NSE and the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).

Singh said that the listing on the NSE’s SME market segment will be pivotal in allowing more investors to take part in the packaging solutions sector, which is sustainably growing and supported by diverse demand from the country’s industrial sector.

He assured that the listing will also allow the company to raise more funds so as to expand their operations in the country.

“Listing on the NSE’s SME Market Segment is a strategic decision that will provide Shri Krishana Overseas with access to the capital markets, enabling us to raise funds and accelerate our expansion plans in the near future,” he said.

According to statistics, Kenya’s packaging industry has been rising and was worth approximately $585 million as of the end of 2021.

The planned listing will see Shri Krishana Overseas become the first packaging solutions company listed on the NSE and the bourse’s first offering since 2020.
