ICT Ministry opens submissions for the Connected Africa Innovation Summit

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 8 – The Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (ICT) is welcoming submissions for those looking to participate in the Connected Africa Summit 2024 Innovation Awards.

The Awards honor a number of innovative ICT products and solutions that improve society.

African innovators with technology-driven solutions across a range of industries, such as health, trade and e-commerce, smart cities, and mobility, are the focus of the call.

Education, agriculture, green technology, climate change, and the creative sector will also be included.

“We invite applicants with qualified innovations to submit their innovation(s) to be considered for the Connected 2024 Innovation Awards,” said the ICT Authority in a statement.

“The Connected Africa Summit ICT Innovation Awards celebrate African start-ups and Innovators that use ICT in innovative ways as game changers of the African landscape.”

Over 2,000 delegates, policymakers, and African heads of state and government responsible for ICT, e-commerce, and the digital economy will be present at the Awards.

According to the organizers, the summit will serve as a forum for African leaders to decide how to manage generative AI and green technology for African realities, as well as to position the continent’s tech agenda in advance of the September 2024 UN Summit of the Future.
