NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 23 – Kenya and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) yesterday signed trade and economic agreements to boost their economies.
The deal was inked by the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Miano, and the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
To achieve this, they jointly established the Kenya-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to simplify trade procedures, boost investor confidence, and advance digital trade.
Others are to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors.
“This, in effect, creates a great opportunity for increased investment in Kenya and the region,” CS Miano said.
