KQ upgrades and increases local flights ahead Easter holiday

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 16 – Kenyans planning to travel on the Mombasa and Kisumu routes over Easter can now experience travel the Kenya Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

This is after Kenya Airways issued a statement on plans to upgrade a total of 6 flights on the Kisumu and Mombasa routes brought about by increased demand for travel over the Easter weekend.

The Dreamliner ordinarily plies international routes thus this opportunity allows local travelers to use the upgraded service.
During the launch of the direct flights from Nairobi to New York City, a few Kenyans had the opportunity to fly in one from Nairobi to New York City and back.

Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Sebastian Mikosz said the increased capacity will give their customers greater choice and flexibility in planning their travel during this peak travel period.

“Our customers to Mombasa will also get a chance to experience the state-of-the-art Dreamliner which usually operates on international routes,” the statement read.

On the Nairobi and Mombasa route, two flights will leave on Thursday the April 18, with an additional flight on Friday 19, April 2019. There will also be a flight leaving on Sunday 21 and two leaving on Monday 22, April.

The national carrier will also schedule an additional flight to Kisumu on Thursday 18 and Monday 22, April operating the Q400 aircraft increasing the number of flights to the lakeside city from 4 to 5 on both days.
