4 relatives facing rape,murder of disabled woman to remain in custody

, MACHAKOS, Kenya, May 24 – A Machakos court has ordered four suspects in connection with the death of a disabled woman to undergo a medical checkup.

Machakos Principal Magistrate Ann Wanyoike has also ordered the suspects to remain in custody until June 11 when they will be allowed to take plea.

The four are Eunice Mueni, Danson Sila, David Mwendwa and Sam Kioko who are all relatives to the deceased woman Esther Kavinya.

On Monday, the suspects were arraigned in court but did not take plea after the prosecution requested for more time to complete investigation.

The four are linked to the murder of Wavinya, who was allegedly raped and one of her clutches inserted in her private parts.

Her lifeless body was found on her bed at Kalama in Machakos County on Sunday.
