#TheBigBrunch : Brunching with White Cap Lager

Brunch: Possibly the only best way to spend your mid-morning to mid-afternoon of any lovely day of any given weekend in the company of good friends and loved ones, munching away on hearty, delicious food and drinking the good stuff. It’s the norm to have some form of alcoholic beverage served at brunch.

White Cap Lager: Probably the most unique, yet underrated Kenyan beer with the most distinct taste and can surprisingly be paired with any meal (as I recently discovered) and happens to have so much character.

The Big brunch: Coming soon to a restaurant near you, on the weekend of November 24th -25th 2018 to be, and is something you want to definitely be a part of! Here’s why:

Have you ever thought of pairing Brunch + White Cap Lager? No? Well, I was in for a huge surprise when I recently got the chance to pair the two and surprisingly enjoyed it. I mean, ave you heard of beer cocktails before?

Kenya Breweries Limited have partnered with EatOut Kenya for the first time to create an unforgettable experience for White Cap Lager consumers and soon to be White cap converts (you will just find yourself converting to White Cap once you try it) to be delivered through a campaign dubbed The Big Brunch.

As mentioned earlier, The Big Brunch will be a weekend long campaign that will see participating restaurants offer brunch lovers complimentary White cap Lager, enticing brunch menus as well as beer bucket offers throughout the weekend of 24th -25th November.

Seeing as the holidays are just around the corner, the Big Brunch will be a great way to set the mood for the fast approaching Christmas holidays. Food and drinks bring people together and seeing as the country is cureently experiencing a huge boom in food and drink festivals, why not get things started with a big brunch bang?

The Big Brunch kicked off with an exuberant launch on the 7th of November and saw the KBL team, white cap consumers, top restaurant managers, social media influencers go on helicopter rides around the white caps of Mount Kenya (the snow cap being an embodiment of the White Cap Lager). This experience offered the restaurant managers a chance to get some amazing brunch menu inspo.

Speaking at the launch event in Nanyuki, KBL Sales Director Andrew Kilonzo, said the campaign aims to capture the true spirit of White Cap Lager. “Boasting of consistent quality, White Cap is proudly Kenyan and full of character, best enjoyed on a beautiful day surrounded by good food and good people. We are happy to partner with EatOut for this exciting brunch experience. It is the connoisseur’s beer and as a brand we are happy to partner with EatOut,” said Mr Kilonzo.

Well, Andrew Kilonzo said it best and I don’t know about you but I am definitely gathering my loved ones and keeping the Big Brunch weekend open for some white cap and great food.
