Costume designer Rebecca Hale has revealed the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ stars pert posteriors and they’re figure hugging garments influenced how she dressed the comedy duo Jennifer Saunders (Edina Monsoon) and Joanna Lumley (Patsy Stone) for the film adaptation of the popular series.

Speaking about the style muse for the production, the stylist said: “I decided to tone Jennifer [Edina] down, rather than make her even more outrageous. Because nowadays, one’s style is very free.

“Last year there seemed to be a permanent obsession with Kim’s bottom. So I thought, ‘Let’s put a really big bum into a costume somewhere.'”

And the award winning creative mastermind has revealed an episode of the E! reality show, which saw the 32-year-old former ‘Kocktails with Khloé’ host discuss “camel hoof” – when trousers are hitched up too high and gather around a female’s nether region to give the impression of a split animal hoof – played a part in her wardrobe choices.

She explained: “And the trousers will always have a camel hoof. We were thinking of building a fourth camel hoof and then I thought, ‘That’s just too disgusting really.’ It’s not a good look.

“Yet again that was something that Khloé Kardashian talked about. There was a part [on a 2013 episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’] where they were talking about a flabby camel hoof and that’s just the kind of thing that Edina would think about.”

Meanwhile, Rebecca has revealed she had to choose what designer garments she incorporated in the pairs on screen wardrobe to suit each character’s personality.

She told Fashionista.com: “I chose carefully the designers that I thought would still be anarchic but have a slightly more pared down style. But there was always a twist. [Vivienne] Westwood has always got a social message going on and that’s one of Edina’s things: She wants to always be talking about what the new buzzword could be about.”
