Chivas Brothers’ portfolio of Scotch whisky brands scooped 24 gold medals at the recently concluded International Spirits Challenge and The Scotch Whisky Masters – great news for Kenyan whisky aficionados.
In the company of Nelson Aseka, Africa Regional Brand Ambassador – Whiskies, Pernod Ricard; a lucky few had the honour of sampling a selection of Chivas Brothers’ portfolio paired with delectable culinary creations prepared by Executive Chef Gaetano Sgroi, Sankara Nairobi.
And so the indulging began: Delicate Fresh Oysters in Pancetta Foam teased the tongue; beautifully presented Smoked Salmon Mousse, Panna Cotta, Lemon and Vanilla Shrimps complemented the rich and fruity notes of the Chivas Regal; juicy Seared Steak on Parma Ham laid on a bed of Oyster Mushroom Risotto with a light drizzle of aromatic Truffle Oil; the crumbles of Brie on a Fresh Pear Nest with crushed Walnuts was the epitome of summer freshness; and finally, the sinful Dark Chocolate Ganache on Almond Sacker biscuit, Coffee Mousse Tartlet paired with Red berries Compote concluded the session.
