BoConcept’s Ottawa Collection wins Red Dot Award

The Ottawa collection of dining furniture designed by the legendary Karim Rashid has just been launched internationally by BoConcept (the Danish design brand that has recently made Nairobi its latest home since February 2013) and won a Red Dot Award.

The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most sought-after design prizes. In an evaluation process lasting several days, each one of the 4,662 product creations submitted were tested, discussed and evaluated in detail and on site, by a 37 member jury comprising of renowned experts.

The Ottawa collection includes a complete dining room set with table, chairs, sideboard and cabinet. All pieces can be customized in a choice of colours and materials, as is the case with most available BoConcept furniture.

For the 22nd time, Karim Rashid and BoConcept will officially receive the award at the Red Dot Gala on 1 July 2013, which takes place in the Aalto Theater in Essen. The Ottawa collection will then be put on display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum.

The Ottawa collection will also be made available for order through BoConcept Nairobi, located at ABC Towers, ABC Place.
