Esther Passaris’ teenage daughter has launched her music career almost a year after realizing that that was her calling.

Makenna Ngugi, 16, discovered her passion for music in October last year and has since recorded several songs and a number of videos.

Based in the UK, Makenna hopes to work with Kenyan artists to learn the tricks of the trade and grow.

“Music brings me happiness. I have big dreams to grow, satisfy and retain fans,” she says, adding that she sings about her views on life and the world.

“I want to be the first Kenyan to win a Grammy,” she adds.

And to show that she does not fall far from the tree, Makenna said she is ready to face the challenges before her to achieve her dreams.

“I am blessed spiritually and have full support from my fans and parents.”
