Pinky named new DRUM editor

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 8 – Former Capital FM radio presenter Pinky Ghelani has been named as the editor of DRUM, a society magazine published by the East African magazines.

“She is the new editor,” a source said. Ghelani, a Kenyan of Indian origin, was previously a presenter in leading radio channel Capital FM and its competitor Kiss FM.

She will be working alongside veteran journalist and character judge Clay Muganda and promising journalist Brenda Okoth.

She replaces Jacquie Thom, who was promoted to be the EAM commercial director.  DRUM, one of the oldest magazines in Kenya, is one of the five magazines published the EAM, a unit of South African publishing giant, Media 24.
