NAIROBI, Kenya, May 23 – Kenya’s digital economy stakeholders have announced their full readiness to host the highly anticipated Connected Africa Summit 2025 in Diani, Kwale County.
Under the theme “Tupatane Diani,” the four-day event is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates from across Africa’s public and private sectors, academia, and development agencies.
Speaking at a press briefing in Nairobi, ICT Authority CEO Stanley Kamanguya and State Department of ICT and Digital Economy Principal Secretary Eng. John Tanui confirmed preparations are complete and delegate registration is ongoing.
“This summit is about collaboration,” said Kamanguya. “Even in the digital age, the best technology is still each other. Let’s meet in Diani and build Africa’s digital future together.”
Eng. Tanui traced the summit’s evolution from a local event—Connected Kenya—to a continental platform for digital transformation dialogue. “We want to hear how we, as government, can support the private sector in advancing Africa’s digital agenda,” he said.
The Connected Africa Summit 2025 will include plenaries, executive roundtables, breakout sessions, and innovation showcases, focusing on emerging technologies like AI, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, fintech, and digital public services. Highlights include the Innovation Village for local startups and the Smart Government Zone showcasing digital transformation projects across Africa.
Supported by major tech and finance players—such as Cisco, AWS, HPE, Fortinet, Safaricom, and KCB—the summit aims to foster investment, partnerships, and strategic policy dialogue to drive inclusive digital growth across the continent.
