NAIROBI, Kenya, February 5, 2026 – Assets managed under the Mansa-X Special Funds have crossed the $1 billion (Sh129 billion)** mark, driven by strong investment performance and growing demand for collective investment schemes.
The funds, managed through the Standard Investment Trust Funds platform, now rank as Kenya’s largest special Collective Investment Scheme.
Growth was recorded across all four fund options, which include conventional and Shariah-compliant products in both Kenya shillings and U.S. dollars.
Performance in 2025 supported the rise in assets despite volatile global markets. The shilling-denominated Mansa-X Special Fund returned an average 20.74 percent, while the dollar fund posted 13.37 percent.
The Shariah-compliant funds recorded 17.25 percent in shillings and 11.64 percent in dollars, the strongest results since the funds were launched.
The gains come as more investors turn to professionally managed funds to protect capital and earn steady returns amid easing interest rates and pressure on the shilling.
Standard Investment Bank said the results reflect active portfolio management, cautious asset allocation and a focus on long-term market fundamentals, with dollar-denominated funds helping investors manage currency risk.
According to the bank, it plans to continue expanding its asset management business as demand for diversified investment products grows in Kenya and the region.
