Tecof Limited placed under administration as Tact Consulting steps in

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 6 – Tecof Limited has been placed under administration, with Tact Consulting confirming the appointment of PVR Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli as joint administrators effective September 3, 2025.

The process, filed under Insolvency Cause No. IP E050 of 2025 pursuant to Sections 539 and 563 of the Insolvency Act No. 18 of 2015, transfers full control of the company’s business and assets to the administrators.

“Following the appointment, all the affairs and business of the Company are being conducted by the Joint Administrators whose powers extend to all assets and undertakings of the Company. The powers of the Directors in terms of dealing with the Company’s assets ceased,” the notice stated.

Creditors and other parties with claims have been directed to submit applications in writing, supported by documentation, by September 30, 2025. All correspondence is to be addressed to Tact Consulting LLP, which is managing the process on behalf of the administrators.

Tecof Limited now joins a growing list of firms turning to Kenya’s insolvency framework as financial distress intensifies across industries. Administrators act strictly as agents of the company, without personal liability.
