NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 14 – Fuel prices will remain the same for the next one month after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) today maintained the prices stationary.
In a statement, EPRA stated that petrol, diesel, and kerosene will retail at Sh176.58, Sh167.06, and Sh151.39, respectively, in Nairobi until April 14.
“In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged.”
This comes even after the average landed cost of imported super petrol increased by 1.34 percent from $628.80 per cubic metre in January 2025 to $637.22 per cubic metre in February 2025.
“…Diesel increased by 1.41% from US$671.14 per cubic metre to US$680.63 per cubic metre while Kerosene decreased by 1.36% from US$681.44 per cubic metre to US$672.14 per cubic metre over the same period.”
EPRA decision not to hike fuel prices offers relief to sectors such as manufacturing, transport, and households, among others, that depend on cheaper fuels.
