NCBA eyes diaspora remittance growth with Xpress Money deal

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 14 – NCBA Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global payment platform Xpress Money to expand remittance services for diaspora customers.

The partnership gives NCBA customers access to Xpress Money’s network of over 185,000 locations in 160+ countries, enabling secure and efficient money transfers.

NCBA Group Retail Director Tirus Mwithiga said the collaboration underscores the bank’s commitment to serving the growing diaspora market.

“We are thrilled to partner with a trusted brand to provide safe, fast, and affordable transaction options for our diaspora customers,” he said.

Xpress Money CEO Samir Vidhate highlighted the partnership’s potential to scale up remittance volumes. “Together, we aim to make sending money home faster, simpler, and more affordable,” he noted.

Xpress Money offers multiple transfer options, including Cash-to-Cash, Account Credits, and Mobile Wallet services, meeting the diverse needs of customers worldwide.
