NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 20 – MultiChoice will, starting next month, increase monthly charges for its DStv and GOtv packages as the firm looks to bolster service delivery with a focus on sustainability.
The South African-based firm says that the decision follows a review of its economic outlook.
Therefore, DStv Premium bouquet will rise from the current Sh9,900 to Sh10,500.
The cost of DStv Compact Plus, DStv Compact, and DStv Family will go for Sh6,500, Sh3,700, and Sh2,000, respectively, up from Sh6,200, Sh3,500, and Sh1,850.
DStv Access will, however, remain the same at Sh1,300.
Its GOtv Max Bouquet will stand at Sh1,499, while the GOtv SUPA Bouquet will rise to Sh1,999.
”Multichoice Kenya can confirm it has adjusted the prices of its DStv and Gotv packages for 2024,” MultiChoice announced in a statement.
“MultiChoice acknowledges the difficult economic outlook and thus has kept the increase at the lowest possible point while ensuring sustainability and provision of quality services,” it added.
In July last year, MultiChoice revised its prices upwards amidst a depreciating local currency against the greenback.
