Credit Bank, KBA roll out financial training session

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 21 – Lender Credit Bank has partnered with the Kenya Bankers Association to roll out session on financial aspects.

The event, which is taking place against the backdrop of the annual Global Money Week (GMW) campaign, seeks to take 18 learners on sessions aimed at instilling knowledge on responsible personal finance.

Similarly, it will take the learners through safeguards for multiple risks within the financial sector, digital safety tips, responsible money management, the fundamentals of good customer service, and the day-to-day operations of a financial institution.

KBA agree that the move is important because financial discipline is a cardinal aspect of people’s lives.

“By offering them the opportunity to observe and engage with professionals in various departments, our primary goal is to equip young students with essential financial skills and to empower them to make informed decisions about their financial futures and the critical role of banking in achieving their financial goals,” said Credit Bank’s Head of Customer Experience, Judy Wanjala.

This year’s GMW campaign, dubbed ‘Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future’, focuses on the importance of adopting a responsible and informed approach to personal finances by being aware of potential risks in the financial sector and protecting one’s hard-earned money.
